Luuppi ry is the student organization for mathematics, statistical data analysis, and computer science students at the University of Tampere. Since 1969, Luuppi has been actively advocating for its members' interests and organizing leisure activities. It boasts the largest membership among student organizations at the University of Tampere!

Study circle - Wrap up your studies edition
Having trouble with your studies or concentrating without peer support/pressure?Luuppi's weekly study circle offers a communal space for studying with the possibility of guidance from peers. Join us for studying, helping others or just hanging out!At the end of the spring semester we have a longer study circle than usua. This is a good opportunity to wrap up your studies for the semester or get a good head start on your summer studies!Our education policy rep is also present, so you can get help on planning your studies or navigating the muddy waters of SISU.Helping out as an advisor grants eligibility for credits (computer science only, for now) from the course COMP.CS.070 (12h/credit, max 3 ECTS).The role of an advisor does not require special expertise or bind to any attendance quotas etc. It does, however, give you valuable experience which could be seen as an advantage when applying for various jobs in the future. Visit to Vapriikki
Finally it time for some culture!Luuppi has reserved a visit to Vapriikki for 3,5€. Normal admission fee is 7€ for a student.Meeting in front of Vapriikki Ticket Sales.At the museum, you can tour with a group or independently. Please note that you can bring acquaintances along, but your accompanying guest will have to pay for their own ticket at the ticket sales at normal price.More information about Vapriikki can be found here. The Academic Kyykkä World Championships, which took over the entire Hervanta campus for one Saturday in February, are a celebration for students. Despite the biting cold this year, which saw around 5000 visitors, the festive spirit of the event remained undiminished. While everyone may have felt the chill throughout the day, the cold didn't seem to dampen the enthusiasm for the (festive) game of kyykkä.
